Ta Da!
The final finish coats are on an it’s officially d.o.n.e! A few days worth of thigh strengthening work went into this, but I am really excited to be walking (actually skating with socks) around on my new hardwood floor.

Now I am busy looking through all my design books for more patterns that would be appropriate for our new Modello Marquetry Masking System ™, coming soon to a website near you!

Thanks! I’m going to be doing hardwood floors in a couple of the new offices in the new space (including my own). I can’t wait to try some more new designs!

Wow, now that is inspiring. A while ago I did a few postings on my blog about painted wood floors and painted stone floors, but yours is just breathtaking.
Great Blog btw!

Mark-Thanks! I found your fresco-like stone floor and it’s beautiful. I have an easier way for you to do that, you know? Also-am dying to know what a blog carnival is? Whatever it is, it sounds fun.
Ecoart-You can probably guess that I love your Asian tiles, huh?

I didn’t even think about my asian tiles until after you mentioned it but I was admiring your beautiful asian art at the top of your website and now you have inspired a whole “kimono” collection!

Thank you all! I can’t wait to show off the final room. Actually I can’t wait to FINISH the final room! Lots still to do on the labor part for me, but I’ve ordered new furniture, custom bedding, gorgeously trimmed drapes. I’ve decided to stay in my little, suburban 70′s “cottage” for awhile so am going to do it up in grand style. The advantage of having a small house, it that you can go for quality instead of quantity. At least that’s what I like to tell myself!
